Turtle Beach – 8918 Midnight Pass Rd., Sarasota, FL 34242
Turtle Beach has seen quite a few amenities added in recent years, which means that it's not quite as quiet as it once was. It's still less crowded than many of the most popular beaches around Sarasota, and certainly deserving of a spot on this list. Amenities at this beach include a boat ramp, canoe launch, fishing pier, picnic areas, and a playground for kids. Don't have your own canoe or kayak? You can rent everything you need for a day on the water from the equipment rental station on this beach. The beach got its name because it's home to a sea turtle nesting habitat, and there's even a classroom here where kids can come to learn about nature.
Palmer Point Beach – South End, Siesta Key, FL 34242
If you walk south along the shoreline of Turtle Beach, eventually you will reach Palmer Point Beach, the perfect place to continue your waterfront stroll. This beach is even less crowded than Turtle Beach, with minimal amenities but maximum immersion in nature. The beach is connected to hiking trails where you can see local plants and wildlife, as well as a fishing pier where you can reel in your next big catch. A variety of tortoises call this beach home, and it's also an outstanding place for bird watching throughout the year. Plan a picnic with Sarasota scenery all around you, or visit for a nature walk around sunset for picturesque views.
Manasota Beach – 8570 Manasota Key Rd., Manasota Key, FL 34223

Of course, you also have plenty of options for a relaxing walk on the beach or the trail system connected to it. Bring your fishing gear to spend a day on the pier, launch your canoe from the convenient canoe launch, or find a relaxing place for some nature photography that captures the birds, wildlife, and plants that call this beach home.
Blind Pass Beach – 6725 Manasota Key Rd., Manasota Key, FL 34223
Also located on Manasota Key, Blind Pass Beach offers a unique experience.
