Can you hear it? The sound of music is in the air all around Sarasota homes for sale and Bradenton homes for sale. After a busy week, our real estate agents love to wind down by enjoying Music in the Park at the Bradenton Riverwalk Pavilion. Mark your calendar for these great acts that will be appearing in April.
- April 5: The Glass Onion Band
The Beatles burst onto the scene in the 1960s, and rock and roll would never be the same. More than 50 years later, their music continues to attract fans due to its timeless appeal. Take a tour through the Beatles' rich catalog of hit songs as performed by the Glass Onion Band. The group pays tribute to the legacy of the Fab Four with their attention to detail as they faithfully capture the Beatles' unmistakable sound.
- April 12: Sweet Fleet
One of the iconic bands of the 1970s gained a new generation of fans in the 2020s thanks to a viral TikTok video. Fleetwood Mac's ethereal classic "Dreams" is one of the songs performed by Sweet Fleet. As a testament to the group's allure that spans all age groups, the members of Sweet Fleet are under the age of 25. In 2020, local music teacher Greg Burke was inspired to form Sweet Fleet with some of his students when his daughter Grace, a musician herself, began including Fleetwood Mac songs in her performances.
- April 19: MonkeyFinger
If classic rock is your jam, you won't want to miss MonkeyFinger. The band's repertoire, a blend of rock and pop with a dash of hair metal, includes songs from Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, Poison, Joan Jett, and many other beloved acts. MonkeyFinger has developed their own devoted following through numerous appearances at local venues and events. In fact, the band was a finalist in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune's recent Community Choice Awards. MonkeyFinger consists of two guitarists and not one, but two drummers to propel their hard-driving sound.
- April 26: Kristopher James
Mellow out with the emotional lyrics and soulful sound of Kristopher James. Like many teenagers in the 1970s and 1980s, Kristopher spent time creating his own mix tapes. Eventually, Kristopher blended his two passions of music and writing as he began composing his own songs. He later expanded his skill set as a self-taught guitarist, piano player, and singer. Counting Otis Redding and Robera Flack among his influences, Kristopher developed a clear, controlled singing voice that's the perfect vehicle for his melodic songs. In addition to his solo work, Kristopher has collaborated with many of the most respected local musicians.
